There is only one word. Vintage. But with that, comes stylish, elegant, classic yet fun. That would describe André and Lizl’s wedding in a few words. Thank you for having us photograph this most amazing wedding day of yours!
Let me start with Lizl – you in your dress, with that hairstyle was a pure definition for an elegant bride. You looked picturesque, almost as if you stepped out of another era into this one. You were amazing to work with and it seemed easy to capture everything your beauty offered.
André, we really like the different ties and you looked very handsome in your suit. We are glad that you enjoyed the photo experience, after all – shouldn’t every man feel like he is posing for the cover of a magazine on his wedding day? You were exactly that – stylish, fashionable and good fun.
The ceremony was held in the chapel of Nazareth House and with its stained glass windows and statues, it formed the perfect setting for this elegant vintage wedding. Lizl is known to be the child of rain – it always rained on her special occasions. From the day she was born, to her matric dance, to her graduation… so it came as no surprise to some that as the wedding car pulled up at the chapel, the first lightning bolt struck. Heavens opened and rain poured down, until the exchange of the rings, when all of a sudden, sunlight streamed through the windows to light up the couple in the front. Surely, this must be part of God’s blessing for your marriage!
The table was set, banquet style, as one long table with silver chandeliers, white flowers and candles – it was different and oh so beautiful. The reception was held at the Pretoria Country Club and it started off with the cutting of a three tier cheese ‘cake’ that was served with welcome drinks for the guests. We loved the delicious plated dinner, the sweet delights corner, the string quartet at the church and the venue, your first dance and the relaxed atmosphere between friends.
André and Lizl, it was such a pleasure to photograph you as a couple. We can see how comfortable you are with each other. May your marriage be strong. May it be blessed. May you continue to grow together as a couple… and may you always dance in the rain (because from the sounds of it, with Lizl, there may be a few rainy days ahead!).
Once again, thank you for allowing us to be part of your day. We enjoyed every part of your wedding!
